The Legion mailing lists

There are four mailing lists for Legion, vanet, and Centurion users: legion-help, legion-vanet-announce, legion-announce, and centurion-announce. There is also a legion-help-digest list. These lists are used to keep our users informed about updates and problems with our software and testbeds. The legion-help list covers all issues and problems related to Legion software. The legion-announce list disseminates information about upcoming Legion releases or patches. The legion-vanet-announce list disseminates information and distributes any advance warning about vanet. The centurion-announce list disseminates information about provides advance warning for the Centurion testbed. All of the lists are majordomo lists.

Centurion users can also send questions about new accounts and general system questions to centurion-manager@cs.virginia.edu and report specific problems to centurion-sysadmin@cs.virginia.edu.

Subscribing to a list

Please note that anyone, whether subscribed or not, can send mail to legion-help. Legion programmers and support staff will still read and respond to all messages. You can subscribe to a digest version of the list, if you prefer. Please do not send mail to the announce lists or the legion-help-digest list. All messages will be archived at UVa and available to anyone.

If you would like to subscribe a list, please send an e-mail to:

majordomo@virginia.edu

The subject line can be left blank, but the message should say:

subscribe <list name>@virginia.edu
end

If you wish to subscribe to legion-help digest, the message should say:

subscribe legion-help-digest@virginia.edu
end

If the message is successful you will receive a welcome message from majordomo telling you how to unsubscribe, contact the list owner, etc.

Please let us know if you have any problems or questions.
